MSCA fellowships revolve around the concept of mobility, and the ENIGMA PI is well-versed in the importance of being on the move. Prior to embarking on the Marie Curie journey, I was immersed in work and life in New England, USA, at the Dunn Lab (check out the lab’s page here). Fortunately, my collaboration with these exceptional scientists persists, but to jumpstart the Marie Curie adventure, I relocated to Italy. Our new home base is the captivating city of Trieste.

Situated at the crossroads of Central Europe, Trieste is a multicultural city with a strong scientific inclination. As the capital of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, it is renowned for its literary and cultural traditions and has garnered international acclaim for its excellence in science, boasting over 30 research and training centres. Among them is the Elettra Synchrotron, the chosen Host institute for the ENIGMA project.
