I recently had the pleasure of attending a conference in the beautiful city of Venice, titled “Art and Science: Le nuove Frontiere Delle Ricerca Nella conoscenze e Nella conservation del Patrimonio Culturale.” Although my research is primarily focused on biology, it also intersects with cultural heritage, making this conference a perfect opportunity for me to explore new ideas and techniques.

The conference featured discussions on how Synchrotron Radiation and other lab-based X-ray techniques can be utilized to study and preserve our cultural heritage. Engaging conversations with experts in these fields provided me with valuable insights and sparked intriguing discussions about the future of our work.

Held in the stunning setting of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti in Palazzo Ca’ d’Oro, I also had the chance to spend time with fellow archaeologists from Ca’ Foscari University, which led to numerous opportunities to discuss future collaborations and research projects. Looking forward to the next Venezian Visit!
