Time for another trip to the Eternal City – This week we went up and down again to Roma Sapienza to work in the laboratory of Prof Nava. The visit had multiple goals. First, there was a workshop on “Advanced X-ray imaging technologies to decipher the past and for novel biomedical approaches” by my co-supervisor Dr Lucia Mancini. Furthermore, we had the chance to dive into the Pigorini Museum to retrieve a historical collection of rib histology sections. This collection will form the core of my comparative sample for the MSCA project, so great to have started now with the inventarisation! Lots of initial checks and inventarisation to do before the actual data collection can start on the sections, but the start is made. Big thanks to Prof Nava and Dr Bondioli for helping me getting access to this superb collection
